Tack and Retired horses

If a horse retires while wearing tack, what will happen to the tack? Will it stay with the horse? Will it go into your inventory? Will it disappear? If anybody knows the answer I would really like to know :)

You get to choose when your horse retires so the tack will stay with them until they...uh move on to greener pastures.
And if you want the photo to have tack on them too make sure you take a photo of them in the gallery so it stays no matter if you take it off or not! ;)

The tack should reappear in your inventory
