Brindles??

Post by Ms. Trouble Maker »

I saw some of these on facebook and looked more of them up...But they are pretty cool looking! Which I know white patterns come first, but maybe someday there will be some of these too?

No support. It's extremely rare in real life.

If it happens in real life I don't see why they can't be on the game! I've actually seen a couple in real life also. But I think it would mostly depend on the genetics behind it - in real life I have heard they are a result of a twin being absorbed by the other.... so I don't know if is an inheritable genetic trait or not and I don't think it is known if genes cause it or not... so I think THAT would be the difficult part in adding it to the game as there isn't much to work off of to code things.

Well twins are possible but not handled in the game at the moment. This could be done but it would be super rare. It may even be in the game now but so rare no one has one. :o

Hahaha! :o
I'd love to see brindle in the game one day :) I have no idea of the reason real life horses are brindle but considering it's so rare it'd be good if it was quite rare in the game. So not being able to breed for it would be how I'd like to see it, or making it super unlikely to pass onto foals so not every second horse ends up brindle. Takes the fun out of it.

Apparently it is common in Norikers, (according to my horse breed book) seems to have come down from Neopolitan horses that were used in creating the breed. I've found quite a few brindle Norikers online.
