I'm guessing he's a sooty dunskin, but his parents are grullo and bay dun. I suppose his dad could be smoky grullo?

You're correct, his sire is smoky grullo. Looking at his progeny he's produced a fair amount of dilute foals to non-cream dams ;)

And I also agree on the sooty dunskin part
