An Observation

Post by SurelyEquine »

So I personally enjoy entering my horses into my own competitions, and I didn't know that they run after 20 entries have been put in when its not a reoccurring competition. So when I put in 20 of my own horses and when it ran right after and I figured out what was happening I realized that this could be used for point farming because if only your horses are entered you obviously get all the points available. I don't know if this has already been talked about but I don't know it seems to me like kind of a loophole to generate tons of points for yourself, kind of like cheating the system. Maybe we could limit the amount of horses you can enter per show, or make it so you can't enter shows you host (as much as it would pain me haha)? Sorry if this has already been brought up before and I just didn't notice it, I tried looking to see if its already been brought up but couldn't find anything about it..

Thanks for reading :)

A limit is going to be added in fairly soon. This is something thats been left over from beta testing.

    • All people that are currently doing this are not doing it to get tons of points or w/e. We are doing it to test our horses. If they are improving.
Easiest way to do this is to put all horses into competition even though its not completely reliable - because of the fact that we cant control their weight yet.

Ahh I see, I didn't actually see someone else doing it but I just saw it as it theoretically could be an opportunity for people to farm points sorry. Thank you for explaining that though! I didn't mean to accuse anyone or anything I just thought I'd point out how this system could be exploited.

    • I agree with the fact that it needs to be changed. I actually wanted to suggest this aswell before I realised its pretty much only tool at the moment to see how my horses are improving. Since I am now at 100+ horses it would be impossible to test each horse in local shows since you need more data anyways,..

I definitely understand why the limit will be added, but I will also miss being able to group test breeding prospects. Maybe there could be "schooling shows" that don't give out points or money but do give scores.
