Tack and Competitions?
So I have a few questions about entering competitions...
1.) Does winning competitions affect foal quality? Like the more wins the better chance for a more skilled foal?
2.) Does tack affect competition results or is it solely aesthetic?
3.) How do you decide what kind of competition your horse will do best in without a conformation report?

Re: Tack and Competitions?
1. It can, it depends on whether the parents have the gene that will pass the good competition scores/timesArcticDahlia wrote:So I have a few questions about entering competitions...

2. No, tack is only decoration
3. You can use the breeders report and test the horse in local shows

1) Competing in competitions will only reveal some hidden competition genes. Your foals will not gain anything that it would have regardless of whether the parents were trained and competed or not.
So by competing parents before foaling will only reveal certain aspects about them that might have otherwise remained hidden.
