Breeding help!
Hey! I recently started breeding in the game and i have some questions.
COI: Is it supposed to be low or high? What does it stand for and what difference does it make?
Icelandic horses: Ive looked around in the game and the icelandic horses in the game looks nothing like the ones in real life, why doesnt anyone breed on icelandic horses?
Coloration: What colors do we want in arabians? Are blankets and such looked at as beautiful and "better" than a plain red?
thanks for the attention and help!

Re: Breeding help!
COI: If I remember correctly, COI stands for Coefficient of Inbreeding (Inbreeding is basically breeding two horses that are related by blood, like breeding two siblings together or breeding a mare to her sire). Generally you want to have low COI. Currently, high COI doesn't really have a big negative effect like how inbreeding in real life could have big negative effects. If you want a more in depth explanation of how the COI works and such, I would suggest asking a player named BlackOak2.MinaDayan wrote:Hey! Icelandic horses: This is mostly because there aren't really any players that are interested in breeding them. You can breed them to look more realistic if you so wish to.
Coloration: This depends on what exactly you want to do with your Arabians. You can breed them to look more like realistic purebred Arabians, then in this case, you wouldn't want to breed them with blankets and/or dilutions. But if you want to breed them for beautiful coats, if you want to, you can breed them with blankets and/or dilutions. If you're just breeding them for the really good stats, then color in this case doesn't really matter.

As PeacefulOreo said, COI stands for Coefficient Of Inbreeding. Most players here prefer to have lower COI in their horses, but it's up to you. COI doesn't really have an effect on horses in the game, yet.MinaDayan wrote:Hey! I recently started breeding in the game and i have some questions.

Icelandic Horses are not very popular and are a rarer breed on the game. There are only 309 of them currently active in the game. A lot of players tend to go for the more popular Arabians and Thoroughbreds. So if you want to you can breed them to look realistic yourself. I am trying to breed realistic Arabians.
I think PeacefulOreo pretty much took care of you color question.
I personally am not a big fan of blankets on my Arabs. I actually think that red (chestnut/sorrel) Arabians are very beautiful, and one of my best Arabians was a fully black Arabian mare, no blanket. Although this one is just my opinion.
