Hello thoroughbredqueen!
This is for the question you had asked (about how to get money without selling horses)

Personally selling good horses is the main way I got to make money but I understand that some players do not want to open their lines.

Selling Trained Horses

A good (untrained) horse can be sold for around 10k (usually less)

It is important for you to understand that there are a few popular breeds on HWO.

Popular breeds are wanted by many players and therefore have a higher chance of getting sold. Not only that but an untrained horse that is a purebred of a popular breed (mixes do not usually attract players) can be sold for double the price of an unpopular breed.

Trained horses also get sold for a higher price so if selling a trained horse can earn you around 50k imagine how much a trained horse of a popular breed can be sold for.

One of the most popular breeds, as of now, are Racing Thoroughbreds. A trained Thoroughbred can easily reach the price of 100k, even if they are not the best in racing, while a Thoroughbred that excels in Racing can be sold for millions.

Of course champing the horse in Racing and earning him a title can help increase the price. However, keep in mind that if you buy a cheap Racing Thoroughbred and decide to train it and champ it I can guarantee you that his results will not be good and if that is true and you champ the horse you will not manage to successfully sell the horse.

So my suggestion is that you buy a cheap good Racing Thoroughbred off the market then get it trained and sell it after.

You are a new player and our community offers discounts on newbies. I am sure that if you post a topic on general chit chat that you are looking for someone to train your horse you will find many willing trainers. (Training usually costs 25k but there are players willing to lower this to 15k and some to train for free)

Grinder

A grinder is a trained horse (usually an Arabian) that can win first place in a level 10 local show. Grinders are very I important and most players choose to own a grinder and profit from only the horse.

This are the 2 top tips on how to earn money, you can find more ways on how to do that here.
