Dappled AC Turkmene?
I adopted this horse:

Maybe I'm just not familiar with AC Turks, but has anyone else seen dapples on them? This is the only dappled AC Turkmene I've seen.

Re: Dappled AC Turkmene?
Interesting... I have never seen any AC Turkmenes with dapples. That must have been a lucky find. (Unless it's a glitch, but he doesn't look like it)

Re: Dappled AC Turkmene?
There's a "sooty dapple" gene. So basically you have a sooty chestnut causing dapples in the area affected by the sooty. Which is perfectly normal in AC Turks.

In that case, he was probably just an interesting find. ThanksDevolare wrote:There's a "sooty dapple" gene. So basically you have a sooty chestnut causing dapples in the area affected by the sooty. Which is perfectly normal in AC Turks.

Re: Dappled AC Turkmene?
As far as I've heard, the Turkmenes are the only breed that actually carry the dappling gene from AC, but they are rarely sooty. So on the rare occasion, sooty meets the dappling and you get yourself a rarity
