Your Chance to Own a Shiny Dun Arabian
[NYR] Prideful

Prideful is the first and to date only pure Arabian in the game that's carrying the Dun gene. If you breed him to your Arabian mares, he will produce pure Arabian foals with a 50% chance of Dun.
Through his dam's side, he inherited the shiny coat typical for Akhal-Tekes. This means, your foals by [NYR] Prideful will have a 50% chance of having a shiny coat.
So 25% of his foals will exhibit both.
This is your chance for your very own shiny!

Re: Your Chance to Own a Shiny Dun Arabian
Very pretty horse!!

Re: Your Chance to Own a Shiny Dun Arabian
His mom is a half Arabian with some mixing in the background there. Does that still count as a 'pure' Arabian? A half Arabian would count as a full Arabian for breeding crosses, so I'm a little confused as to why he's worth 5k to breed to when he's not really a pure Arabian but a 3/4ths? No offence is intended, just curious about it.

Re: Your Chance to Own a Shiny Dun Arabian
Purebred Arabians do not carry dilutions. So he's not pure in the sense of "has no other breed in his pedigree anywhere". But he doesn't register as a mix as he has enough Arabian blood. Every foal he produces with an Arabian mare will be an "Arabian".Icedangel11 wrote:His mom is a half Arabian with some mixing in the background there. Does that still count as a 'pure' Arabian? Re: Your Chance to Own a Shiny Dun Arabian
Do you by any chance have another dun arabian you would sell? I'm looking to start up a dun line that's all

Re: Your Chance to Own a Shiny Dun Arabian
Adriana looks like she could be. I'll age her up a bit today to make sure. If she is, I'd be looking for $3000 for her. Would you be interested? She has 87,5% Arabian blood.ruby_jane wrote:Do you by any chance have another dun arabian you would sell? I'm looking to start up a dun line that's all
Edit: Yup, I'm quite sure she's Bay Dun.
