Re: rehoming horses
if they have foals, you cannot rehome them

Re: rehoming horses
so unless someone buys one of my horses im stuck with something i dont want to breed again and cant sell ? wish i had known this before i bred him

Re: rehoming horses
Oh yes, why is it forbidden to rehome a horse with offsprings?

Re: rehoming horses
So the horses' pedigrees don't contain blank spaces. If you look at the pedigree section of your horses' pages, you can still see the name, breed, and COI of retired horses, even though you can't see retired horses pages.
Rehoming deletes the horses from the server entirely, and that information would be lost.

Re: rehoming horses
So all we need is to save the primitive information about breed, coi and name \O/

Re: rehoming horses
What about if their offspring are already deceased? I've been trying to rehome a stallion whose only progeny has already passed on. It says I can't - and I don't understand why, since there's no living offspring that needs him in their pedigree.

Re: rehoming horses
Nope, if his progeny list shows an offspring that passed on, it still won't let you rehome him. I think it's something to do with making sure pedigrees don't go wonky? I thought I saw something like that said, but I don't remember. If it's the stallion that I think it is, I just bought him and will age him out in my retirement pasture to free up space for you.

Re: rehoming horses
I compete and train all my horses, one of my first Adopted horses is ...
❃Maci

She is -4 in Breeding Report with One Red and One Green stat. She is fully trained and wins many of her competitions. She is Master Champion in Pole Bending, Grand Champion in four other disciplines and Champion in another, of which four are level 10 competitions. She does all this at age 17 and supports my farm with all her winnings.
So a horse with -4 BR and one red, isn't always a bad horse. Good Luck and see you in the competitions.

Re: rehoming horses
What happens to horses here when they die? The pedigree doesn't break when a horse dies, the information is still there. Why not treat a horse that's been rehomed with offspring on the ground as being dead? Have horses that have been rehomed without producing offspring just get deleted entirely as they are now. Is that not possible?
