Re: My mare has been pregnant for over a year
When you breed your mare, there will be (or should be) a little pop up confirming that you bred. On it, it will say that your mare will give birth between a certain amount of turns. There is more information on the following link, found in the help, guides section.
Pictorial Pregnancy - A Visual Gestation Timeline
There have been a couple cases of unconfirmed prego mares long... LONG past due dates, but so far, we haven't had any proof. So if ever you get one that blows her end due date out of the water and is pregnant LONG afterward, take a picture every turn or every two turns as proof so admin can do some digging.
Until then, there doesn't appear to be a prego-bug.
Don't forget to check it out!

Re: My mare has been pregnant for over a year
When I breed my mares, I always write down her age at the moment of breeding - this way I know when to expect the foal. Maximum number of turns she can be pregnant is said to be 26 turns = 13 months = 1 year and 1 month older than she was at the moment when she was bred. However, from time to time I happen across a mare that take her sweet time and pop the foal on the 27th turn.BlackOak2 wrote:There have been a couple cases of unconfirmed prego mares long... The first time I noticed this I wrote it off as my own error of putting down wrong age. But it happens again and again, very rarely, but regularly anyway. Also there was the case of a mare's previous foal being 1 year 1.5 months old when the younger sibling was born, even though I was completely sure that I bred the mare as soon as she gave birth to the previous foal, and both of them had stayed on the same ranch ever since. So I am pretty sure 27-turn pregnancies do happen.
