Like I said, give yourself time to learn the game. Learn how to maintain HGP and conformation through breeding, learn how to train (even if you don't train yourself), learn how to compete successfully and also start to learn about the colors here on HWO.
Then also learn about the occasionally glitches you might encounter and how the community works and responds to different situations. When you're feeling confident that you can answer most of the questions that a newbie might come to you with (instead of passing it off to a senior player), then you should be in the position to help them. Newbie aid comes in many forms: providing a free grinder, providing an influx of monies, providing a couple breeding horses from an established line, and the list goes on. We have so many different types and styles of programs to help newbies just starting the game to returnees for players that go on hiatus and those somewhere in between, that struggle and haven't yet gotten the handle on the game.
You'll have fun in the game and eventually, you'll start helping the newbies that come after you naturally, so don't dwell on it for now, because one day you'll just find yourself doing it.

And money will come. It'll be about level 20 when you'll suddenly find yourself flush with enough money you stop thinking about purchases, skills and other things (it can be sooner though, or later, but it will happen). PT however, will almost always be something you'll be working toward, unless you're willing and able to support the game by purchasing the PT outright. Then that fixes the issue for you.
