Does anyone know what my horses color is?
Does anyone have any idea what kind of color my thoroughbred is?
I've checked the color guide with cremellos and champanges and his coloring falls a little off.
I don't know what to put him as!

So some pointers, likely just reminders, I'm sure you're getting a handle on the colors now.Wild Windy Stables wrote:Does anyone have any idea what kind of color my thoroughbred is?

If you see any sign of freckles on that nose, then the horse has champagne.
Double cream OR cream and pearl, will always have pink skin and blue eyes (with the exception of tiger eye or in combination of SOME champagne... but, still follow the main rule... it happens but it's rare that the eyes will be dark instead of blue).
There doesn't appear to be creams in your horse's pedigree, just champagnes. So the weird coloration is coming from the dun gene. His dam is a red dun.
So he would be a gold champagne dun. Champagne and dun on a chestnut base.
