Mixed/Part Breeds?

Wot's the difference between a Mixed [breed] and Part [breed]? I'm trying to sort thru my critters, and the percentages are making no sense to me...is there a line where a horse is considered one or another?

As far as I remember, it goes like this:
Half [something] - exactly 50% of the horse's ancestry is from the [something] breed.
Part [something] - more than 50% of the horse's ancestry is from the [something] breed.
Mixed [something] - less than 50% of the horse's ancestry is from the [something] breed, and everything else is even less %.
