Breeds Wiki - Count of Horses

Quick question:

In Breeds wiki, the count of horses listed beside each breed, is that the total figure ever, or is it the "live" amount?

i.e: do horses disappear off this count after they 'pass on?'

They disappear. It is a count of live horses.
