I bought 2 Andalusions for one of my friends and I put it on offer tp her for £1

And then i got this nonsense accusation from the original owner.

I really don't consider this a threat (in my opinion).
Admins response (as well as my own and quite a few other people), would be that once the horse is sold, it's sold and the new owner may do what they please with the horse. Including changing name, owner's notes, breeding and re-selling. We may ask for the new owner to keep such things as a breeder's mark or keeping the horse as a personal breeder, not a public breeder, or asking to not re-sell the horse, but we can only ask. The only recourse we have, is to not sell a horse to the same player again. However, many of us (and it's a growing number in my opinion), that will honor the former owner's requests, in part because of the community we have and in part because of the practices we keep. We are happily playing and enjoying the game, so honoring a request doesn't immediately pull up a harsh negative reaction such as 'what now? you want me to do what???'

Perhaps the response you received could be taken as rude. But it doesn't come across this way to me.

Annalowinger, you've been around for quite a few months now, you should know that this is not 'the way we play the game'. And Lila2517 isn't that new of an account either, you also should know better as well, that once a horse is sold, regardless of what we may request, it's up to the new owner and what they choose to do.

Plus, I wouldn't necessarily consider this as abuse. But it could be considered a self-made rule and we have had some issue with these in the past. Self-made rules are fine, as long as one keeps in mind that the end-all comes down to the rules of the game. As a community, we must keep in mind the game rules.

If any of you are having a problem with a particular player, then just don't deal with them anymore. Don't speak to them, don't speak about them, don't purchase their horses, don't sell OBO or private sales to them. Thus the problem can be allowed to disappear. We all are happy again and we all can enjoy our gameplay gain.

If you desire to continue to do business with them, then you can attempt to tell them your position and what you planned to do. Often times, especially for players coming from other games, conclusions are rushed to. There is still a learning curve about our community and it takes time sometimes to re-set that knee-* reaction about assuming the worst possible outcome.

I don't consider this an issue, merely a misunderstanding. Please talk things out and understand each other, or stop dealing with each other and honor the choice of the other player.

Only one thing i would point out. She had a reason to report me to the adnistrator. She wanted to report me becase she wanted me have consequences, warned, or suspended but definitely punished. I felt as a threat and made me upset. ( I don't want to be suspended) Upsetting people with no reason is an abuse and no place in this wonderful game.We are here to enjoy it.

I can see how you might feel it's a threat, but a threat is something that has a potential punishment.

I suppose the correct definition for you may be an 'empty threat'. For me an empty threat is meaningless, therefore for me, it's not a threat at all.

But again, I can see how you understood it.

There would be no repercussions for choosing to purchase a horse then selling the horse again. Because the horse belongs to the new owner. That would have been the response received. These are our game rules.

You felt it as a threat. I understand that. Now know that it can be defined as 'empty', nothing would have come from it.

Remember that once a horse is sold, it belongs to the new owner. We may ask the new owner (before sale is preferential), to adhere to certain things, but we have no recourse once the horse is sold.

That being said, owners that promise to do something, then do not hold that promise, may find themselves blacklisted from much of the community, with a long road to travel to get back in the communities better graces. Remember that we are all a part of this community and as a part, we must be a part.

Please, above all else... enjoy the game! It is a game, after all.

Thanks BlackOak2, you have done an excellent job of explaining the way things work on HWO. I'd just like to add that a report on a player comes to me, and I'm a real person who can see what's going on and I'm not about to ban someone right away just because someone hit the report button. I always look at the situation and try to resolve it before banning people. Remember my only rule is for the players to be civil to each other and have a good time.
