Do not sell horses to this player
I hate to be the one to say this but do not sell horses to Training Services if you don't want your horse to be sold for more than what they bought the horse for. They did just that.

Re: Do not sell horses to this player
Unless there is some sort of arrangement between the seller and buyer, this sort of behavior is no different than any horse trader. I don't see the issue here.

I told them not to sell the horse for more than what they bought it for.Bitapetrone wrote:Unless there is some sort of arrangement between the seller and buyer, this sort of behavior is no different than any horse trader. I don't see the issue here.

Re: Do not sell horses to this player
You lost all rights to the horse when you sold it. They had the right to age, breed, sell, rename, and rehome the horse they bought. Calling them out like this is rude in my opinion.Shadow_Hills wrote:I told them not to sell the horse for more than what they bought it for.Bitapetrone wrote:Unless there is some sort of arrangement between the seller and buyer, this sort of behavior is no different than any horse trader. Sorry guys, my friend Shadow got carried away. Shadow, it's okay, you can let it go.

Sorry... I had to leave my comment on this topic:
1. Training does "flip" horses, nothing wrong with that, but it can be frustrating for the breeder!
2. Their sale posts often look like this:
Hi Honeybunny,
I would like to purchase this horse: http://www.horseworldonline.net/horse/profile/2000531
Please tell me the price!
Thanks,
Prancer
3. They buy up a TON of horses for a low price to make a profit! Again nothing wrong with that!
4. What is the problem:
a. The horse they linked is worth 40K at least! She is a trained Belgian Filly with high HGP and very nice stats!
b. Training will offer around 5K because they can't make profit when the horse costs them 40K
c. If owner says that the offer is to low... Training will play the "New" card... and make you feel bad
d. The truth is that I have had them pay 50K no problem!
All this is to say... be firm on your prices... you can't control what they do... but if your prices are good it will be harder for someone to flip!

Things like this keep coming up and I find it to be very annoying since it is rude, as vallers said, to publicly expose someone like this when in the forums it has been posted many times that when the seller accepts the buyers offer, the horse belongs to the buyer, therefore the seller loses all rights. Yes, they can ask politely for the horse to not be sold or for the name to not be changed, but it's up the buyer (since they paid the money) on what they want to do with it, like Bita said. Honeybunny is also right, be sure to set firm prices and not to let people run you over. Also, be careful who you sell to as wellso that this stuff doesn't keep happening.honeybunny wrote:All this is to say... be firm on your prices... you can't control what they do... but if your prices are good it will be harder for someone to flip!

Re: Do not sell horses to this player
As has been said.
There is nothing wrong with flipping horses.
Some of us players that have been playing for awhile or who have a great deal of money, will knowingly sell a horse for far less, especially to newbies or returnees for the express purpose that it's likely to be sold for a much greater price afterward. Although such horses are generally worth more to be kept and earned that player monies, we also accept and do so understanding that a higher price-tag sale is very likely.
There are many ways that we support our newbies, returnees and those that haven't yet learned how to financially manage their income versus outgo. This is one of those ways.
What I could suggest, especially for those that do flip horses, or are intending to flip them: Please, please, do NOT ask a young account like yours for a horse with the express purpose of flipping, without first telling them that it's what you intend to do. This will keep things a bit fairer. However, there is no rule that says you must tell them what you intend to do. That said, if there's unscrupulous dealings, the player that does so can quickly find themselves blacklisted.
By the way, flipping is not: purchasing a horse, changing it (by training or by breeding or even by aging until breeding age) and selling it for a greater price. Flipping a horse is purchasing a horse then re-posting with no changes to said horse. Flipping can even include selling the horse for the same price or even less then the original price.
Edited to ad:
Now, all that being said, if you are a player that has been having repeated problems with different players (a really bad run of bad luck), please let us know. We can aid in this respect as well. Offer tips about what to avoid in your specific case, even offer a good grinder horse to turn your luck.
We don't want our players to flounder, especially through no fault of their own (or limited fault of their own). It's a game that we enjoy and we want all of the players of the game to enjoy. Loosing players to unscrupulous dealings is not what we want.

This topic really annoys me!Shadow_Hills wrote:I hate to be the one to say this but do not sell horses to Training Services if you don't want your horse to be sold for more than what they bought the horse for. They did just that.
Some people is crying over some money which they never had. It does make no sense!!!!
You sold your horse for a low price because needed money quickly or you needed room for other horses. Either way the BUYER HELPED YOU and a thank you would be nice.
And then the new owner put the horse on the market on a higher price so he/she might have to keep it for a while but he is willing to sacrifice the room in the pasture. THIS OPPORTUNITY WAS OPEN FOR YOU BUT YOU DECIDED ON THE A QUICK SALE. Either way, the new owner keeps the horse or sell it for high price, it does not effect your finance and he still helped you! So what are you crying about?
The funnies thing of all is that money has no much value in this game! You are arguing on thousands of dollars, when you can get easily millions by competitions!
I would be happy if somebody explain to me why is it so important to you what happens with your UNWANTED horse, which has zero effect on your account!
I cannot accept the explanation that you are a control freak and you want control over everybody and everything even not of your business!
If anybody want to re-sell the horse that bought from me MORE THAN WELCOME ON ANY PRICE!!! and also thank for buying a horse from me!!! Happy playing!
