What you're seeing happening is from the leopard complex gene. It causes lightening in some areas and darkening in some areas and also graying out in some areas.

Your mare is a buckskin with leopard complex and tiger eye. There does appear to be a dun mask, but without additional pictures (including parent pictures), especially as foals and as yearlings, I can't be sure about that gene. Your mare has a yearling picture, but no foal picture. Without the foal picture, I can't be sure that the mask I see isn't from leopard complex, which on certain colors can also appear to be a dun mask.
