Picking up new breeds! / Breeder for hire? (【ℤA】)

Post by Ziel »

Hey folks! I have decided I would like to pick up new breeds to work with - or, potentially, become a private breeder / breeder for hire! ;)

I have been working with Tarpans and Przewalskis for a while to make an improved line of those breeds, but, they’re not really worth much. I have managed to get my Tarpans into the 60k HGP mark, and Przewalskis into the 50k HGP mark, both with NO REDS - and it didn’t take very long to pull this off! I have also been working with Belgians, producing many proven high-earning grinders.

I have also been working on making a line of Friesians and a line of Gypsy Vanners that conform to real-life breed appearance. I’m getting pretty close to my goal there, too!

So I’d like to hear from you - what breeds do you value? What do you want to see more of? What breeds would you like to see in-game look more like their real-world counterparts?

And - if anyone is interested - would you like to hire me to take your horses and breed the BEST lines I can under your guidelines, letting you focus on training the top winners?

Thanks for your time. :D

I would love to try your services. I'm currently breeding Miniatures. Can you help me? Also, I may try to breed Burma ponies soon. However, I accidentaly rehomed the only Mongolian mare for sale in the game- that's half of a Burma pony. So, Miniatures are my first priority, then Burmas. Can you help me with either breed? Thanks!!!

I’m sure I could help! :D
I’m just uncertain of how to do payments right now... Currently my Friesians and Gypsies, the rarer breeds I work with, can be sold around $15,000. Most “rare” breeds I see selling are around $30,000. So I’m thinking...

Option 1: I won’t charge you, but would see if I could sell the lower-end horses at the higher price point. This would make them a less “rare” breed over time, but I’d get paid and you’d get the pick of the “middle” horses I produce but won’t be keeping for breeding back to the lines.

Option 2: I charge you $15,000 for each “middle” horse I produce, and you get to train them, breed them yourself, try to sell them, etc. The lower-end horses I produce will be rehomed, and I would only be allowed to try to sell “retired” breeders - if you don’t want to buy them.

Option 3: I don’t get to sell ANY of the horses, but you get the pick of the non-breeders at the full price of $30,000 per horse. I would also sell you previous breeders over 10yrs old at $15,000 - if you still wanted them.

Of course, I can negotiate on prices based on what you / I find the horses themselves are selling for. Although, ideally, I don’t want to get paid less than $5000 per horse. ^^; Or perhaps if you do training, we could work out a deal that way? ;)

Let me know what you think!

Oh, to add to the previous! If you provide the first breeders, I’ll give you back the first of the same-sex offspring they produce! So, EG: You provide a Stallion, I’ll give you the first colt he produces! Seems only fair. ;)

How about option one? I'm not too concerned with stats, etc, I'm more focused on keeping the lines alive. Maybe I could sell you a breeding pair for $1, then buy the babies back for however much they're worth?

Ohhh, okay then! That works! Although I’ll keep aiming for improved stats and give you back the first two I’m happy with regardless. ;)

If you have a pair you’d like to put up for private offer, go ahead, and send them my way! ^^ I’ll do some organizing and make some space for them at my farm~

Snooping marketplace, they don’t seem to be worth much unless trained? There’s plenty of decent studs at reasonable prices to work with, however. So I could work with them if you buy the offspring off me foooor... $8k each? That’ll let me work with the studs available while still making a small profit for my time. :)

Alright! I can get working with them soon - put the horses you want me to use up for offers and post them here and I’ll get to it!
