Anything rare for here on the game, especially the most difficult to make ones, such as the Hungarian Warmblood (as of this reply, there are only two on the game, and also shetlands from the AC, because they come in so many different coats right off the bat. But the real-life story behind the knabstrupper is definitely a great one. The missing stallion is really an interesting read.

Personally, it's less breed then coat combinations that I like to look through for the game.

In real life, my favorite to work around and with are arab's, morgans and morabs. It's their personalities that attract me most.

I have a strong attachment to Przewalskis and Tarpans and all the breeds that come from them, because I really like the "primitive" looking breeds and the fact that they're not super-duper popular on this site. I especially love the landrace breeds that are suited for living in extremes (such as Mongolian and Yakut).

I tend to like breeds that are extreme in some way (the biggest, the smallest, the skinniest, etc.) or have identifying features in their colors or physical traits, because I like being able to actually tell the horse breeds apart from one another visually. So, I love giant draft breeds, fat little ponies, spotty Knabstruppers, very hairy/feathery Gypsy Vanners, etc.

And if I had to pick my favorite breed of all, it would probably be Akhal-Teke.

Honestly, my favorite are Arabs. I just love their high tail placement, skinny legs, and arched necks!

I have a thing for "cobby" type horses and carriage breeds - things like the Welsh Cob, Irish Cob, old-style Groningen, Friesians, Black Forest Horses, etc. Breeds that are heavier, but generally not considered to be true drafts today. And though I'm not necessarily a breed afficianado, I absolutely love Thoroughbred racing.

Interestingly, I never knew it at the time, but most of these breeds actually reflect my familial heritage. I'm a majority German/Irish/English descent (with other things in there too) - my German ancestors even came from the Black Forest region of Germany where they were farmers and eventually fled for the US due to religious persecution where they immigrated to Pennslyvania and became Mennonite (similar to the Amish). My great grandfather immigrated to the US from Ireland where he worked as a carriage driver in New York. Amazing what you learn from Ancestry - it really makes me wonder if my roots don't dictate somewhat the horse breeds I'm drawn to.

My favourite horse breed is Lipizzaner. I also riding them in real life and they are just sweatharts! These 2 mares are the closest to my goal:
She is almost perfect but she is too tall, and I prefere grey horses.

She is also almost perfect but I don't like her high and tiger eyes.

On-game I love Knabstruppers and the attempt to make them look like their real-life counterparts. I'm also really enjoying NABs, Yorkshire Coach Horses, and the occasional Budyonny.

In real-life I have a fascination with the Tchenarani breed. I've never been able to meet one in person but the fact that they're so rare and the breed is so difficult to maintain has enthralled me since I first learned about them from a different sim many years ago.

I have a few favorites like Gypsy Vanners and Dales but above all I love my Hanoverians. I prefer horses that fit the RL breed type for example I am working on realistic Dales (black with crests and feathers) as I can't find them in the markets.

Not necessarily my best horse Hallowed is a nice example of the breed.
