While I am glad to have my horses sold, the owner used the name of another horse breeding website as their username. I am assuming they are doing this to get added publication and advertisement. The website and username was. Howrse.com
I have been to that site before so I noticed it immediately. I would highly recommend that if this becomes a trend you flag certain usernames that are part of website addresses. Or block usernames from having a combination of. Com or.net Etc. I find that this type of advertisement is in poor taste and I'm sure some of our other players and Community would probably agreed.

I don't believe the user has anything to do with the other game. People can talk about other games here, it's fine. We know everyone plays more than one game.

This is a common tactic for people to advertise other games. I have no problem with people talking about it in profiles or in the forums or even using names like Howrse or Netflix as their username. Just don't want the actual website spam. I know this is not the only game that exists and I know I have played more than one or two horse games. But to see other website addresses come up in my notifications is like spam. The only way they can guarantee people know about other sites is to use it as a user name.

I'm not saying ban talk of other sites. I agree that would be a little self centered and stupid. What I am saying though is don't allow website addresses as user names. If this is allowed, what stops people from flooding us with "sexwebsite.com bought your horse" or "free movie.com stud your horse" it's all spam and I don't feel like I should be forced to turn off purchase or stud notifications to keep from seeing it, if this becomes a thing. I don't know if that particular player does or doesn't have to do with that website. For all I know, they played it before they shut it down temporarily for coding changes and the new release that's either coming soon or just did. I just don't want the spam to be a possible issue. Sort of a stop before it starts sort of suggestion.
