Until registries are in place the Breeding Communities forum will be for players to work together towards creating or improving their favourite breeds.
Forum rules
Each breed may have only one topic. The first post in the topic is to be informative. It should help explain the breed, and breeding goals; advice on how to select mares and stallions; and links to ideal Stallions available for breeding.
Keeping a directory of breeders working on the same goal is also helpful.
All new threads must be approved.

Shetland Pony

Post by Amber525 »

Shetland ponies are cute, fluffy, and small. These are main characteristics a Sheltie should have.

I have started a breeding farm dedicated to producing the cutest, fluffiest, and smallest Shelties, while also getting High GP, and many Gold's and Greens. To get these characteristics, I have been breeding pure Shelties to half bloods, for higher genes. The goal is that the horses will be mostly sheltie but with enough outer blood to have high GP and Gold's.
When choosing a sire or dam, look for horses that somewha resemble Shelties( In cuteness, fluffiness, or size) and have great genes.
You can find a lot of half blood stallions in the market. I will later post a list of great stallions to breed to.

Hi Amber525, I'm actually starting a Shetland breeding program myself. It would be neat to collab, and I would love to use any stallions you have up for stud. I'm breeding more towards the fluffy shetlands, but I would love to help in any way possible! Please respond soon if you can, I'm already anxious to hear what you think! :D

Sincerely,
LupinStorm

Right now I don't have any stallions. However, I do have a copy and a few half blood mares and foal's.
