Mares gives birth to ONLY colts
Okey y'all, I need to know what I can do to fix my problem, if there is one? Or if there's just nothing I can do.
My two mares...

Sometimes mares just have one gender, but at some point they should. But your mares just could keep throwing Colts. It also could be a glitch, in that case it will be only Colts.f-adolfsson2 wrote:Okey y'all, I need to know what I can do to fix my problem, if there is one? Or if there's just nothing I can do.

It's supposed to be a flip of the coin to throw a colt or a filly. You have a 50/50 chance.Kamichi Stables wrote:Sometimes mares just have one gender, but at some point they should. Some of us experience different sexes when breeding different seasons or different times of the day. Some of us experience certain bloodlines seemingly favoring throwing certain sexes.
It's most likely just poor luck. I could suggest that if you've been breeding your mares back-to-back, every time they drop, wait six months and breed them then. IF there is anything to throwing certain sexes in different seasons, then perhaps you'll get a set of fillies.
Good luck!
By the way, Yes, I have experienced this. It's frustrating if you're looking for the other one.
