I would love joining in with contests but I'm not sure how to get a picture of my horse within the text, if somebody could let me know how to do it that would be amazing!

If you take a look at the full editor in the reply (or post) you will see a number of command buttons that will aid you in your task.
The one you're looking for is the one that says 'horse='
If you choose it you'll get a command that looks like this:
horse=][/horse
minus the outside brackets [ ]

The horse you want has an id number on the tail end of the address bar. This id number goes in after the equals sign: horse=
So you're command will resemble:
horse=123456789][/horse
minus the outside brackets [ ]

When you add the outside brackets, you will make the command appear (try the preview button). This is how you add the horse pictures to the text.
