Invitation Only Competitions
I would like the option to host competitions where only invited horses may compete. As a breeder, I like to evaluate my stock based on height, bodily conformation, stats, and more. I would like to extend invites to other racehorse breeders with horses that catch my eye, and I would like to verse our yearlings or even seasoned horses.
Many of the best racehorses that I see are mixed. This means I have to allow all breeds to enter my races. I can have some control by setting an age limit but that still leaves horses that aren't of the same breeding quality to enter. I want a specific look, a specific speed stat limit, and more.
For Example
I would invite horses that are
1-2 years old (so up to three years of age)
Between 55 and 60 speed
Between 15 and 17hh
Colts only
And I could go deeper and invite colts only built like racehorses.
I want more control over my competitions and who competes!
I want to test out specific types of horses. I don't want a Belgian entering against a Deliboz mixed racehorse. Those are so drastically different. Some events in real life ARE INVITATION ONLY!

That's a good idea, I agree, though maybe increase the speed stat to 66?Retsi wrote:I would like the option to host competitions where only invited horses may compete. This is a great idea. Although, some players like me can't train a horse that fast so maybe make the age a little higher? Just asking.Retsi wrote:I would like the option to host competitions where only invited horses may compete. The example I gave is just an example for a private competition I might host. You could host a competition with any requirements - you could invite specific horses. What I mean is that I would want the horses in my competitions to be the same or very close, but you could invite whoever you wanted to your competitions.Champi0nBr66der3 wrote:.

Re: Invitation Only Competitions
With such tight requirements wouldn't this cause more of an issue with false champions? I could see invitation only competitions limited to horses with certain performance records, but it seems like a feature implemented in this way could be abused.
It's possible to track records of how horses perform now so this change would only enable horses to win that just might otherwise not.

Re: Invitation Only Competitions
I would have to agree with Bita on this...seen this type of system in a couple of other games, causes issues. It will cause the same sort of anger that we already are dealing with, with the 'inflated' events.
We can already restrict age, breed and gender (and height is restricted by the game anyways...you don't see any of my micro Thoroughbreds in the racing events...I think it would be funny). I'm not sure I know of any events in the equestrian world (unless it is restricted pony or halter at an breed show), that restrict on height. I would suspect we might get something like this if/when we get the breed registries.
