2 Year Old Akhal-Teke Colt
This is the colt http://www.horseworldonline.net/horse/profile/1043301 Right now I have him listed as a Classic Champagne but not really sure about it. Any help is appreciated.

Your horse is a smoky cream dun - black + 2 cream + dun. His sire is a smoky grullo (black + 1 cream + dun) and his dam is a smoky black also a smoky grulla (I looked at her again and she displays the lightened body, face mask, and dorsal stripe of a horse with the dun gene). You can tell they are carrying the cream gene by their baby pictures - both horses have a slightly blue-ish tint to their baby coats where as a pure black would have a more red-ish cast.Alexis_Smith wrote:This is the colt http://www.horseworldonline.net/horse/profile/1043301 Right now I have him listed as a Classic Champagne but not really sure about it. As far as champagne goes - the best check for champagne is to see if you horse has freckles on its muzzle or around its eyes. Your horse has pink skin in those areas but no freckles therefore he is not champagne. Also neither parent is champagne so there is no where your horse could have inherited the champagne gene from.
Hope that helps.

I also have another question about the same breed of horse this mare http://www.horseworldonline.net/horse/profile/1071107 to me she looks like a silver bay but again not sure I came up with that because of her mane and tail color

She's actually brown silver. You can tell that she is brown by the reddish areas on her flank, muzzle, and underarms.Alexis_Smith wrote:I also have another question about the same breed of horse this mare http://www.horseworldonline.net/horse/profile/1071107 to me she looks like a silver bay but again not sure I came up with that because of her mane and tail color
