I have a feeling I'm going to be buying pony tokens in the very near future. I reeeaaaaally want to get those flashy patterns.
I don't even intend on crossing the appy patterns into either of my breeds.. but I'm addicted to the stud fees lol.

I have a feeling i will end up with pony sized appy marked grade horses, which just fine by me! I just love the genetics!

I think he would be homozygous Lp. Snowcaps usually are? Although I have to admit I'm not the full bottle on Lp!irishrose wrote:Snowcap colt
I just now had this handsome little "Snowcap" colt born. Both his parents are LP, so its possible he is homozygous for the "master switch". I love his tiny spots at the edge of his blanket, makes a fancy lacy looking edge. I can't wait till he is breeding age!

Re: Figuring out the Appy patterns (updated)
I know than in real life they are, and I'm fairly certain they are here too. I have looked at a few similar snowcap studs and all their foals are LP, so I'm pretty convinced. That makes me even more excited for him to reach breeding age.

This colt is similarly bred from another Caspian but he's not as impressive. He does have white pattern on the inside of his hindleg though

omg no he looks amazing!! I think you've figured another pattern out! Keep it up!

Re: Figuring out the Appy patterns (updated)
I've been planning on out-crossing my Giara ponies and then breeding them back pure to get a purebred, and I am shooting to get a homozygous stallion before I get to crazy with this experimentation, but I will be joining in! My main stallion right now is a heterozygous Lp carrying snowflake and blanket with medium sized spots. I have a very similar filly, and I'm certain that my foundation Tarpan stallion is homozygous. Right now the heterozygous stud is expecting a foal out of a post-update turkmene filly
