Well, yes, the development is slow, but it's not like the game is not playable and enjoyable as it is, isn't it? Of course I'd like to see more meaningful training, or the added challenge of "vet update", or for the feeding bug to go away, but basically this game is a lot of fun already as it is, so we can wait for more while enjoying what we have already.
I used to play another horse sim that was constantly being slowly upgraded, and there it often happened that some major part of the game just didn't work while we waited for an upgrade. At one time you couldn't show for months, the other time you couldn't breed for quite a while etc - there the wait was truly agonizing as you couldn't really play in the time it took for an upgrade to come out. Plus it was a real time based, not turn based, so you just had to watch your horses grow old and die off while you could basically do nothing with them. I ended up leaving the game, as I couldn't sit and watch that happen.
But here? People, we can play while we wait!

So true! Yes, it would be cool for more things to be added. I would love for the rest of the paint markings to be added but that being said, most of all, I want to keep playing this game!

Thank you for coming back to me about this! It's always nice to see developer interaction and their take on things.
I also do understand your view on predatory microtransactions which is a big problem in the game industry as a whole not just free to play titles. But I cant deny that f2p titles have the worst reputation when it comes to this which is also why I as an individual feel safer backing a title which follows a buy to play model.

I only work for them as a volunteer moderator, all I do is moderating livestreams and their discord with some customer support and troubleshooting through, its not something I'm putting my life on hold for so to say. I do not wish to mention their name because I do not want to associate the company with my personal views on another game, Im sure you can understand :)

The game being turn-based is one reason why I can sink so much time into it. Its a great mechanic however just because another game had worse developer issues doesn't invalidate the ones of these game but I see your point ^^

I'm usually a bit of a lurker in forums and such, but I figured I'd throw my two cents in. I first found this game when it was still a kick starter. I couldn't participate in the fundraiser at the time, but I kept it on my radar. I originally joined back in 2016. For me, even without many of the features its already the perfect game. I'm a huge genetics nerd in real life and I just find it so exciting every time a breed a horse to see how the foal turns out! It's something I've never seen before in all my years of playing horse sims. I get that there's a bit of frustration about the slow development, but at this point there enough in the genetic system to keep my engaged for the next 50 years if that's how long it takes xD.

But like I said, I'm a genetics nerd and that's the whole reason I joined the game in the first place.

You'd get along with Larissa, she made the game because she is into horse genetics so much. :)

I know that im not a old player but here's my opinion about the game,

When i was searching for a good horse game i first found this game and found it really interesting to play, and so i did and it's more than what i expect. I love how detailed, reality based, so many horse colors and more than that genetic based. I didn't know at first if it's good but when i got used to it i love how absorbing the gameplay was and i literally play all day! Thanks for doing this game! :)

My history is much like StellaSim's.
I waited for it to become public, because I was hoping (and hoping I wouldn't be disappointed by yet another game promising 'real genetics' and falling short) that I had finally found something I could sink my proverbial teeth into.

It does NOT disappoint.
Although I do have a couple projects on hold (for the release of true white in some form) and I'm still sitting on pins and needles for the training release (I'm hoping it will save a LOT of training time), there is still too much to engage into. All that's needed is the thought and consideration, what could I do with...?

I just brought Mojo to a new barn and when I was talking with the owner I actually said, "If I could have gotten a master's in horse genetics, I would have." Too bad to do that I would have had to go the biology route. I love biology, but not enough to get a degree in it. I just want to play with the genetics part. :D

I don't think the dominant white genetics have been totally solved yet so we are holding off so we don't have to change it. Hopefully they sort it out.
