Re: $5 mill Most Realistic Horse Competition :).
Here is a Greying Bay Standardbred, who scores a 5 star in the Standardbred evaluation book.
This is one of my older Standardbred lines, which did not feature any flashy or unusual colours and was from cross breeding.
Copper's Gold of <CS>

The accepted colours of Standardbreds are:
(Australian Trotting Stud Book (ATSB) for standardbreds the following horse colours are recognised:)
Black
Bay
Brown
Chestnut
Grey
Bay / brown
Brown / black
Skewbald (a version of Pied)
Roan
Cream
A Standardbred's average size is 15 to 16 hands at the withers (1 hand = 4 inches), although some well-known trotters and pacers have been larger or smaller. Hambletonian was 15.1 hands; the great little pacing free-foraller and potent stallion Good Time was just 14 hands, while trotter Tagliabue, the 1995 Hambletonian Stake winner was 16.3 hands.

Re: $5 mill Most Realistic Horse Competition :).
I breed true to type Canadian Horses! The majority of my stock is black and bay (usually with moderate sooty for a darker coat) with the occasional chestnut. Some have feathers if they are more of a stockier type, while most have no/minimal feathers.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canadian_horse
This is currently one of my favourite mares!

Bay coat, thick legs, short back, long mane and tail, high-set head, short face, curved neck, high-set tail
And true to Canadian fashion, they are really easy keepers. Currently working on improving movement and stamina stats to be at least 40 in my new foals.

This is my best Friesian I have bred, he Is within the standards of Friesian assessment as well as a high HGP and wonderful conformation. He broke the level 2 and 6 hunter world records and he still currently holds the 2 level hunter world record. He is my pride and joy!

I'm not 100% sure she fits your criteria but i am trying just to be sure:
She is a purebred Australian Stock Horse, 8 years of age.
I am unsure of her breed evaluation
She probably doesn't fit your criteria. sorry for wasting your time.

Hi I am the SAME player as the breeder of the horse I am entering - Username: BOB!.reyn wrote:So, many players are breeding for top show horses, which is great, but many of those breeds end up so mixed that they no longer look anything like the breed they are supposed to be. As there is currently little emphasis on a horse being true to type, such as there would be in the real world, I thought I would run a bit of a different competition to try and encourage a bit more breeding to breed standards.
I don't care about stats or show record. I simply want a horse of any breed or gender, that looks like the breed it is supposed to be. The horse that looks most true to type will win $5 million for its owner. Rules below.
* No foundation stock horses, breeds must be at least a second generation breed
* No foals, horses must be of adult age
* Horses must be 100% of that breed, and 5* evaluation
* At least one of the parents must be owned by you, and you must have bred the horse you are submitting. Horses that are bred by and bought from other players will not be accepted, but I have no issue with using public studs
* You are breeding for as true to type as possible, the standards of which can be found on any breed society page
* Competition will run to the end of October, which gives you three weeks to get breeding if you don't have anything that's currently suitable
* Winnings are $5 million
I cannot post on forums on the account BOB! so I had to transfer my horse I wanted to enter to this account.
I am entering my 100% purebred stallion QUARAB. 5* Evaluation I also have his mother on this account.
I AM NOT LYING I ACTUALLY OWN THE ACCOUNT BOB! AND I AM THE SAME PLAYER SO I BRED HIM NOT ANOTHER PLAYER CALLED BOB!
Here is my Quarab, Black Ice
Black Ice
I am being totally honest I bred this guy and I own the account he was bred on. This is just my training account.

Arabia's Golden Flame has been bred to have a shorter back which is atypical of arabians,as well as a short, dished face with prominent jowl, longer neck ,sloping shoulders, high tail carriage and powerful hind quarters. Her evaluation is 5 and color is also acceptable within the breeds standards. Her overall body is 14.1 H ,square and within proportion.

Arabia's Golden Flame has been bred to follow the Arabian's guidelines and has been a success, with her short, dished profile , shorter back, sloped shoulders, long neck and powerful hind quarters as well as her slender legs and high tail carriage.

I'm so sorry that this posted twice.

Re: $5 mill Most Realistic Horse Competition :).
I'm very glad you're doing this - it seems a lot of people just breed for the numbers and championships at the cost of breed standards. I'll admit, I try to walk a line between the two and this contest made me take a hard look at my herds and noticed many good-looking horses were actually 4* or 3*! So thank you.reyn wrote:So,
My entry is this boy on my other account:
Wyld Shadows
He is a 5* Lusitano and is the product of many generations of breeding by me.
In fitting with the characteristics of the Lusitanos (as found on Wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lusitano):
He is a solid dun, standing the "Usual" 15.3 hands.
He also fits the requirements of "Members of the breed have narrow, but well-proportioned, heads with profiles that are slightly convex. The necks are thick and arched, leading to well defined withers, shoulders that are muscular and sloping and a deep, broad chest."
He also has the "Sloped Croup" and the "Legs [that] are sturdy and muscled".
Even his temperament follows the norm as they are "noted for their intelligence and willing nature" (Wyld Shadows has Gold Intelligence and is Bombproof - important attributes for fighting bulls!)
He even has the thick and abundant mane and tail!
Thank you for holding this event - good luck to all contestants!
