It's great you survived, vallers. We have had quite a few storm chasers die from getting too close or being in the wrong area at just that wrong moment. I'm sure we don't have to worry too much about you? At least not now.
I haven't been 'through' a tornado, at least not one that does a serious amount of damage, but I've been close enough a couple of times to lesser ones. Hurricanes are definitely easier and quite a bit more predictable. So I could agree with you, hurricanes are easier to survive, even though they last sometimes for days.

The whole of Denmark is smaller than some of the US states, so living in these countries is an entirely different experience. I could only imagine. The whole of europe is just larger than the whole of the US and that doesn't include alaska. So that does make quite an impact when considered that way.

Considering all the weather from around the world, the US is arguably the title holder for some of the worst that can ever occur. There are some places with worse natural phenomena, but overall, we do suffer from the nastiest weather-related situations. However, it could also arguably be said that percentages say we have much fewer weather-related fatalities and possibly injuries than other places. But perhaps what I've learned is a little skewed, after all, I live here and news is generally favored toward the country it's owned by (I'm being mild and nice).

Haha maybe it should be moved. From favourite HWO horses to tornadoes to modern media, which is an entirely different can of worms, oh dear...

I'm starting uni next summer, and I actually plan on getting a degree that will eventually let me study, and hopefully teach, something involving the relationship between politics and media. It's nerdy, but it's so fun debating politics, news and political correctness over a nice meal at a café lol. I'm super fortunate to have a group of friends with very diverse beliefs and opinions, so there's never a dull moment.

Well you have a couple over on me there. They have to be some of my least favorite topics. I'm one of those that don't like arguments or fights in any sort, including 'heated' debates and I avoid them whenever I can. However, sometimes it is nice to get into conversations about that.
With what I've been hearing and the way the world 'feel' is, getting into the relationship between politics and media does seem like a strong path. Good luck with that and, be safe... neither one of them alone is exactly benign on the best of days. Together can be vicious. But it also sounds like so can you be. So have at it!

Thanks - I find it very interesting, but I can definitely also understand why someone wouldn't! I'm not too keen on personal attacks and public fights either, so if I won't be able to at least keep it somewhat civil and respectful, it's not for me :P But then again, the political climate over here is not even a fraction as heated as it can get in the US at the moment.

LOL!!!
Now that's an understatement.
But in reality, political upheaval has been ongoing for quite some time, long before our current president. It's likely because there's too many chefs in the kitchen. When you have a lot more people, you naturally have a lot more discord.
Either the world will blow up and we'll have nothing more to worry about... or the world won't and we'll continue on as we have been: somewhere between baited bewilderment and hateful enjoyment. Thus, this is the world we live in. :D

This topic is to post favorite horse's, not to tell us what your favorite type of horse is. If you have a particular favorite horse, post the horse here and it will be kept for easy viewing, access, and location for all of us to see.

It's great that Belgian racers are your favorite. Perhaps if you create a line of Belgian pureblood racers, you'll come across one that catches your eye for whatever reason and you'll want to post it here.

But thank you for sharing your thoughts. :D

I picked another glitch horse from the AC. An Arabian this time. She isn't sure if she's bay or chestnut. XD

And here's an AC Belgian who's bay on top and mealy chestnut on bottom:

These glitches are great!

Speaking of, I'm not sure if it's a glitch or not, but I have an unusual graying coloration happening. Check out this studs tail.

Interesting occurrence:

Huh. I'm not sure. Every other gray I've personally seen has grayed in their tail way before their mane, but this guy doesn't have much graying in his tail at all. At first I thought he didn't have any, but on closer inspection I can see a faint bit of it. Not sure if it's a glitch, but it's definitely odd.

Nevermind. One of my part-Arabians is graying in that exact same fashion with her tail:
