Progress

Post by Aela »

How's everyone doing on this lovely friday night? (At least it's evening here in Denmark)

I just looked through my horses' pedigrees and traced them back to the first horse I ever had on here - a Przewalski mare. I thought it was funny seeing how far I've got and remember the countless (really, countless) amount of times I've waited for the right breed until I FINALLY reached Aegidienbergers ;)

If anyone is up for a chat, I'd really like to know how you're progressing with your breeds/stats/whatever :)

I've only been playing for a few days, so I've just had my first born Abyssinian bred, and eagerly await the birth of my first 'second generation' purebred. :D

Black Friesians will be hard with that annoying agouti in the way ;) I've seen your struggles on the forum before

lol... Well I have an advantage. I'm home sick at the moment, so I have nothing better to do than to sit around playing with pixel ponies. :) Also Abyssinians are easy to get. Get a North African Barb mare, and then mate it with the million and one NABxArabian Stallions people have been breeding and putting up for stud for thoroughbreds and other popular breeds. :D

I've stopped at Thoroughbreds for a while to work on improving the breed to my standards. I also have a few half traks and mixed/part traks that I will be crossing back to eventually get purebred Trakehners. My eventual goal is Oldenburgs but I'm really not in any kind of hurry. I enjoy improving the quality of my herd at intervals before moving on to the next breed I need.

I'm on my way to Dutch Harness Horses but am going to stop for a while at Hackneys. I don't have much luck at crossbreeding so I'll let the people who are actually good at it work their way toward Gelderlanders and Groningens, lol.

I think I'm getting closer to my goal of having grey belgians. They are still at the mixed/part belgian x arabian but at least they get more belgian looks now. The colt I had high hopes on turned out to be non grey T___T

Other than that I'm trying to purify some other mixbreeds because I'm too poor to buy the real deal working on Andalusians, Sorraias and Thoroughbred. Going slow when the extra horses bug is still(?) in place.
