She's not quite black. lol but must be sooty to the extreme, let me know your input

I'm not quite sure - the quality isn't really that good - but I believe she's a sooty chestnut too. Mane, tail and feathers are not black as it would be on a bay , black or brown horse :)

Yes, it's a sooty chestnut. For a while, my herd was overrun with "black chestnuts" like this.

Ah ok... That's what i thought and its pretty cool! Some of my foals come out looking like her and i can tell they aren't black because foals are born a darker brown.
