Cremello's but not?
I have two colts out of a Palamino mare and assumed the eldest was a cremello but seems to be almost cream with whiter points and her most recent colt is flat out white. Both have blue eyes. Carisma Lit is the older colt that seems to be cream and Golden Carisma is the flat out white colt. So are they both cremello's or is Carisma Lit a super light palamino?! Please help!

Re: Cremello's but not?
Carisma Lit looks like a perlino champagne to me. He also has the gene for metallic, shiny coats.
You will have to wait a bit for Golden Carisma because foal coats change a lot. Usually you can tell their colour by the time they're one year old.
FYI: The colour is called palomino.

Re: Cremello's but not?
Also! Perlinos have reddish manes, the colts mane is white. So perlino wouldn't be it.

You edited one of your posts. Are you trying to say that your first foal isn't perlino champagne?Destany662 wrote:Also! Perlinos have reddish manes, the colts mane is white. So perlino wouldn't be it.
If so, have a look at the guide. In this game, horses may not necessarily look 100% like in real life. This is an example for a perlino champagne. :)

Re: Cremello's but not?
I looked at his sires other offspring and there's a mare with the same coloring and the color was "Cremello champagne" so that's what I'm calling it.

Re: Cremello's but not?
Remember people decide their horses' colouring. I could've named my perlino champagnes "shiny albino freckles" if I wanted to. Wrong colour descriptions are all over the place, so relying on those is not necessarily a good idea

Also, real life perlinos could look completely like a cremello or smoky cream. The three double cream dilutes are not always different in phenotype
- I second nyreaia in your mare being perlino champagne
Here's a perlino champagne (dun) of mine:

So many creams, so many dilutes, so much confusionAela wrote:Remember people decide their horses' colouring. I could've named my perlino champagnes "shiny albino freckles" if I wanted to. Wrong colour descriptions are all over the place, so relying on those is not necessarily a good idea![]()
