Breed Book questions
I have questions about breed books. I finally have enough to buy a book and want to know how i should proceed. My goal is Hanoverian. I am waiting for the Holstein update. Could I buy the Hanoverian Breed Book and rate my current horses? Or should I be rating them for Holstein, and I should buy that book too? Both do not have breed data so do i need to wait for the data or will the breed book work now?
Thanks!

Re: Breed Book questions
The books won't work because that breed data isn't in yet. You can buy either or both now if you want just to have them ready but you will see if you try that the stats are impossible ranges.Questhaven wrote:I have questions about breed books. Once the breed data is in, it's a personal/financial choice if you want to evaluate your horses for Holstein as well as Hanoverian. The books are not mandatory for anyone but just a guide to figure out what needs adjusted when making the new breeds or to fine-tune once you already have those breeds.
I can only guess that Holsteins and Hanoverian will have similar requirements to each other but we won't know until that update comes in. They could be just different enough from each other that having both books would be important. That is unless you wait for others to make Holsteins for you and then just grab the spares/studs and proceed with Hanoverians.
