Market Cleaning.. or until July 25th, 2017, 11:00 pm.
Is it possible to get a Market swipe once a year ... some horses on the markt have been there for years.
I know that it wil be some work for all of us to put horses up for sale again. but it will keep te market fresh and up to date.

MeowMeowGuava offered $50 to purchase this horse.
This offer is valid until the horse is 20 years old or until July 25th, 2017, 11:00 pm.
specially with breeds that have many of them like akhals or arabians. It wil change the 125 pages of things to go trough to an updated one.
Not sure if im the only one that would like that?

ANYONE from Admin, Alpha, or Beta Testers, PLEASE correct or expand on the following (doing the best I can, not claiming big authority:~ss~ wrote:Is it possible to get a Market swipe once a year ... some horses on the markt have been there for years.

Only Administration would have the power to do big changes, essentially overriding the control the horse owner has, and it doesn't seem very likely they would. So far they have not removed any player, farm, or individual horse simply for non-activity, only banned players for bad behavior -- usually either cheating/hacking or for rude/threatening behavior to other players.
Some people sign up, play the game for a few minutes, and then never show up again. And their farms are still part of the dataset even if no one is curating the account. Which means if they left a stallion up for breeding, the stud will run out of energy if used, and become inactive. And "Offers Only" sales never go through because no one accepts any offers.
But some players -- including serious ones -- leave the game for a few days, weeks, or even months, and then return. Any of us (that includes me, I took a "vacation" late in 2018, but I'm back now) would be / would have been profoundly upset to have found one of OUR horses arbitrarily disposed of.
The good thing about Sales (and Stud) ads is that they always appear in chronological order, most recent first. So those older ads can be somewhat easily avoided. Another thing is that many sort criteria are available with multiple qualifiers all in effect. Set your limits for price, horse age, and size and the number of prospects will decrease.

No im not trying to get rid of any Horses them selfs.. just that horses that are for sale longer than 1 or 2 years get reset from the market. If a horse is for sale for 2 years or some even for more. it is just a lot of data that is just extra.Xant’hippe wrote:~ss~ wrote:Is i

If putting your horses up for sale once every year or two years is to much work... maybe a date on sales so we can see whan a horse is put up for sale??

Personally, the only ones I think should be regularly removed from the sales market are those that have been up for offers only for a long time with no sign-in of the owner's account. It's the offers only that can't go away. The ones that are up for a select sales price, shouldn't have any reason to disappear, as long as they can get sold, there's a chance that they will, eventually.~ss~ wrote:No im not trying to get rid of any Horses them selfs.. just that horses that are for sale longer than 1 or 2 years get reset from the market. As for the stud services, since we can search for energy available studs, it's less of a big deal, but I also agree that once the stud goes 'inactive' and doesn't get refreshed after a certain amount of time, it should also drop from the ads.

Thanks for your patience with me and about the problem. You are both right; it would make perfect sense simply to remove stale-dated sales ads from the market. It is a serious issue and I think it should be on Admin's task list to do in 2019.~ss~ wrote:

For potential amusement, here are some examples of long-running sales ads. The first one probably dates from 2016.

Of course, those had a real purpose at the time. Some others look as if a very short-term player didn't like the game and was giving it/us a razz. Maybe one of these:

So YES, bring on the expiration dated sales.

Those continue to make me giggle every time I see them.Xant’hippe wrote:BlackOak2 wrote:...~ss~ wrote:

In fact, when I wrote my first response, that third horse (I think), was chasing my thoughts at every step.
I am wholeheartedly in agreement and look forward to when this gets implemented because I don't think it's a matter of if, but rather a matter of when.

Just chiming in in support of dated sales. Or a clean sweep once a year. Which works best for Larissa.
Would be nice to be able to put up limited sales ads. Like a sale for one day which expires.

One day sales seems good to me -- and how about limited-time Stallions at Stud ads, too.QuesthavenFarms wrote:Just chiming in in support of dated sales. Or a clean sweep once a year. Which works best for Larissa.

Yes. It would be nice if sales ads could expire if the stallion was out of energy for a certain period of time.Xant’hippe wrote:One day sales seems good to me -- and how about limited-time Stallions at Stud ads, too.QuesthavenFarms wrote:Just chiming in in support of dated sales.
