Each breed may have only one topic. The first post in the topic is to be informative. It should help explain the breed, and breeding goals; advice on how to select mares and stallions; and links to ideal Stallions available for breeding.
Keeping a directory of breeders working on the same goal is also helpful.
All new threads must be approved.

Latvian Heavy Draft Breeding Project
Greetings Equestrians! As you can see from the title, this topic is about the Latvian Heavy Draft, a breed with only 2 individuals that encompass the breed, the individuals in question have not reached mature age and therefore the breed is perpetually nonexistent. Here I intend to post my progress to achieving the standards required for the breed, however if you wish to also work on breeding this very rare breed, feel free to post your progress as well!
Steps Taken:
Ardennais Progress:
-Purchased 2 Belgian Mares/Fillies and breed to high HGP Forest Horse
-Adopted 2 Forest Horse Mares and bred to high HGP Belgians
East Friesian Progress:
-Purchased Andulasian Stallion
-Purchased Anglo-Arabian Stallion
-Bred high HGP Arabian Thoroughbred cross
-Successfully bred high HGP Anglo-Arabian Filly
-Purchased Hanoverian Mare
If anyone has any Andulasian, Anglo-Arabian or Hanoverian mares for sale I would be interested.
