They are dun, right?

Post by Mahlattu »

Hi! I've been away for a year or more and I don't remember much of the genetics (not that I ever was very good with them :D )

So could someone check these two?

[IVY] Laurinum

I seem to have labeled her as mealy bay, but I think I see a stripe on her back, so dun? With pangare?

Milky Way Woe

Definitely a dun, but do you think he has pangare? And his rump seems to be a bit darker or a different shade. Could it be sooty or some dun/color variation?

You're correct on both.
The mare definitely also has dun alongside pangare on bay and the stallion carries sooty on and pangare with dun on bay. So they are both the same color with different shadings.
The mare is probably also affected by total, non-progressing sooty as well.
