Total horses owned
Is there an easy way to tell how many total horses I have without individually counting each one in my ten barns and 3 pastures?
That is time-consuming as some of my mares are pregnant and some are not. Since you can't always tell by the graphic in the early stages of pregnancy, I would have to load each mare individually to check.
I feel like this is a question a lot of people must have had, but I don't see it answered anywhere before (googled it several times in various ways), so am I missing something? Is there a total horses owned displayed anywhere?

Take a look at the overview of your farm. The percentages will tell you how full each one is. If you know the size of all of your barns or pastures, it's easy to tell. Use the following for 12-horse capacity:JanaD wrote:Is there an easy way to tell how many total horses I have without individually counting each one in my ten barns and 3 pastures?

Pasture numbers
8% = 1
17% = 2
25% = 3
33% = 4
42% = 5
50% = 6
58% = 7
67% = 8
75% = 9
83% = 10
92% = 11
100% = 12
That's the way I handle it and I believe most of us that need to do a count.

Also, I (and other players), will divide their horses by pastures. I have 6 breeding pastures and fill them up in sets. Each breeding pasture never contains more than 6 mares (so if they're all pregnant, the pasture will have a full capacity, so 6 mares and 6 unborn foals).JanaD wrote:Is there an easy way to tell how many total horses I have without individually counting each one in my ten barns and 3 pastures?

Re: Total horses owned
I had been taking the percentage and then dividing it by the total horses allowed in a barn, but it's really inconvenient to have to add it all up with a calculator when the program is obviously capable of counting them for us since it won't allow us to breed or purchase additional horses if we can't own anymore. It should just display the total owned for us somewhere. Something as simple as this should be easy to add and certainly would improve the "quality of life" of us hard-core breeders.

I do this also, but as mares retire, and new mares reach breeding age, I'm constantly having to peruse each barn to determine how many more mares they need to maintain the six. Also, since I prefer not to breed some mares, (too high COI or getting old and I want to let them retire or I can't own any more pregnant mares or I have too many horses), I can't tell by the percentage. 50% could mean I have 6 non pregnant mares (full) or 3 pregnant mares and I need to more 3 more in. So a tally of horses that doesn't include unborn foals displayed along with the percentage would really be helpful.JanaD wrote:I had been taking the percentage and then dividing it by the total horses allowed in a barn, but it's really inconvenient to have to add it all up with a calculator when the program is obviously capable of counting them for us since it won't allow us to breed or purchase additional horses if we can't own anymore. We have asked for this multiple times in the past. There could be a number of different reasons we haven't been given this. Including perhaps that not enough players have asked for it. Personally, I think it might be how it's displayed or where to display it, but I'm no programmer.JanaD wrote:

I think the most recent request in the comments and suggestions forum is this one:
