my one new filly has a weird colour to me it does not remind me of a typical buckskin and i'm almost positive that her dam is carrying the cream gene

Metallic buckskin, possibly with sooty. There are a great deal of different shades of buckskin just as there are shades of grey (haha) ;)

I don't see any sooty but I do agree that she's buckskin.

Don't see any sooty either (yet) - it's always appeared late on my horses, and this filly isn't very old. And it is a possibility when looking at parentage :)
