What to Breed with my Lines?
I have a relatively small amount of horses right now between my two accounts. I started with NAB, not focused on gaining any particular breed in the future, just picking my favorite of the foundation breeds and working with them and seeing what I got with a few generations of them and then going from there in determining a future breed based on where I ended up.
I seem to have a knack for breeding NAB in the five-star range for TB and/or Cleveland Bay that trend towards becoming Saddleseat champions, and to a lesser extent excelling in Sprint Racing. They trend towards basic solid colors, though I've incorporated some markings with the addition of Turkmene (that mare is a pretty good Pole Bender and is 5-stasr Spanish Jennet). I intend to breed her back to a NAB to incorporate the heavier Barb build back in, whilst hopefully keeping the mare's markings. I have a pure painted NAB in my training account that looks like she'll probably trend Saddleseat or Sprinter as well.
I know we can compete horses in any sport here regardless of breed, but I like to lean towards realism. TB's and Cleveland Bays (or even NAB), aren't particully known for being Saddleseat horses. So, working with the stock I have - is there any breed out there that has a similar build to these breeds, excels in Saddleseat since my horses seem to naturally trend that way, and that can be bred using NAB as the base foundation breed?

Re: What to Breed with my Lines?
Light types tend to excel in Saddleseat, so you could probably make most any breed fitting that description work for you. If you're going for records or high scores that would narrow the field. Light breeds that directly utilize the NAB are the Baladi and Fleuva. From there it just continues to branch, and of course several medium-type breeds created by the NAB go back into lighter breeds down the road. The Kathiawari is an example of this.
