I made a mistake...

So, I'm new, and got to the quest where I had to buy a stallion (or in my case, a mare, seeing as my current horse was a stallion first.) So, I went to buy the mare - and accidentally bought another stallion. Now I cannot complete the next quest which involves breeding because I do not have enough pony tokens, and I am not about to buy more on my very first day. What must I do to fix this?

Unfortunately you can't return a horse to the AC you already adopted, your best solution would be to buy an AC mare from the market instead of adopting so you can breed

Also, you don't need to follow the tutorial to play the game. If you can't complete the next step, you can ignore it until you can. If you need more tokens, go into Player, Quests and take a look around for something you can complete. Those quests are the quickest way to earn Pony Tokens and early games have quite easy quests.

Otherwise, the 'quickest' way to earn Pony Tokens is to earn them through the local shows. Any horse can earn them (they're awarded most often for first places and most often at the highest level the horse can earn first places in). Certain horses appear to earn more pony tokens, some appear to earn more days... there's a lot of things on the game that 'appear' to happen more often under some conditions than others. The basics for earning days and tokens for local shows is to have a fully trained grinder horse, but that is not a requirement, it just appears to do better.
