Feathered Friesians
I have been working on Friesian with Feathers since Beta testing and still haven't been successful. Can anyone help out?? The most I get a small little tuffs of hair. :/ If anyone has a horse that can further my interest I'll pay $150,000

Re: Feathered Friesians
I've decided to work on Friesians too. I've only just started so I've got a lot of mixed breeds, but I've been crossing them to my Half Percheron stallion who has a lot of feathering so hopefully I'll make some progress.

Re: Feathered Friesians
Sweet!! I did a Belgian cross....but maybe some breeds have a better "Friesian" build than the Belgian...so none of my crosses are coming out as pure Friesian...the all come out as parts Friesians :/ lol
Wanna work on it with me!!?

Re: Feathered Friesians
I started to do Friesians on the way to the Gypsy Cobs, specifically with feather, but got some Shires and went on from them, and then also got distracted with trying to breed Comtois! But I found I could breed feather into most breeds so Friesians shouldn't be hard. I might give it another go.
Also breed your part Friesians together, if they are part something else make sire both sire and dame have the other part as a different breed. So Part Friesian x Belgian bred to a Part Friesian x Percheron say, has a good chance of coming out pure Friesian if neither of the other breeds dominate. A good way to breed in feather

Re: Feathered Friesians
I have a half Friesian mare with light feather, if you have a mixed or part Friesian stallion with feather I'd love to breed to him. But a part friesian x belgian won't work as my foal would be that as well. Or a full Friesian with a feathered parent would work of course!

If you or anyone else is still interested, this is my finest stud. He's only 75% Part Friesian but he has many excellent qualities.
