Help With Training Horses
Hello! First I must apologize, I tried to search for other topics but my question was to general to find anything.
I am new to this SIM, And I have a question.
First off, I barely ever earn money. I use the same horse each turn to do as many local shows as I can, but its barely anything. I try to do competitions, but all the horses in the competitions are maxed out in training and I never win compared to them. I train my horses as much as I can each turn, but its been about 4 years in my turns and my main Breeding Stud / Competitor (Who mind you has alot of golds (I think that matters? IDK)) is around only 200% Trained, compared to colts who are fully max trained. I try to raise my skill as much as possible but its hard when I have no money, I just dont see how people can train their horses so fast. Any help or guides with how to train or raise money? Im at a loss. Its just a constant cycle of age the day, train, local shows, age the day, train, local shows.

when trying to raise money, you should look where your horse does best in (a good overview for deciding without knowing to exact conformation gives this guide
http://www.horseworldonline.net/forum/v ... =3&t=11683).
Generally, don't try to compete in the higher levels when he isn't trained; also there are some players that offer training or gifting trained horses to new players (just look in the general chit chat).
Doing locals is the best options for you now, try a few and when he wins first place try the next level; it isn't the most, but the lv 10 locals result in about 176$; try to find a balance between training and locals as each local takes 3 hours - for example train until 6 or 7pm and take the rest of the day for training (depending how many horses you train at once or how late into training they are). And do the locals first because more than 10 fatigue lowers the winning chances, or so I feel ^^'
There are many guides in the forum so look around or you could have regrets later

When you're training, train stamina first (at least to 90%), it will make training the other stats much quicker.

If you haven't already looked through those two guides, they should get you back on track.
If you have already looked through those two guides and you're still struggling, you may need a good grinder. Let me know, I'll purchase one for you and send one over, however, since my time has been erratic online recently, I can only promise this offer to be open for 24 hours after this post. I'll be back on tomorrow to check for any reply and if yes, we'll get one over to you. Keep in mind that you'll need space for the horse and the horse I may pick out may not be good breeding stock (or even adequate breeding stock). You will receive the horse for $1. OR!!! I'm willing to take in your 'grinder' horse and finish training it for free. Again, this offer can only be open for the next 24 hours.

Re: Help With Training Horses
I would love that if you're willing to do so! Is a grinder a horse who is only used to make money? My stud is technically a grinder then. I usually do local shows on level 8. How would you train him so fast?BlackOak2 wrote:What Nazarach said... including...Carbon wrote:Hello! Re: Help With Training Horses
Generally speaking, a grinder is only for making money. Most often grinders are used only in local shows because although they do great in locals, they're generally not so good in player-made competitions.Carbon wrote:

What would you like, would you like me to train up your stud or do you have room for a grinder?
Training is sped up by training stamina first. Once you get over 90% stamina, it's much quicker and easier to train up all the other stats. When a newbie begins the game, it will take about 7 game years to fully train a horse (give or take). Once you have half of your training skills done (really regardless of exactly what you learn), it'll take you about 4.5 to 5 years. Completely learn all of the training skills and depending on the individual horse and your honed training technique, it should take approximately 2 years and 7 months (that's the quickest for the optimum horse). Two years and 9 months is the average for most players training regimes.

If you could train my grinder I would absolutely love you! Haha. What do you charge?

Re: Help With Training Horses
Like I said, this single training for you will be free.Carbon wrote:If you could train my grinder I would absolutely love you! Haha. What do you charge?
So link him here and put him up for offers only. I'll 'purchase' (transfer) him to me (you'll have to accept). Once his training is finished, you will pick him up. Should only take me 2.5 years (give or take). Depending on how quickly my days accumulate, I'll attempt to get him done in 2 real days or less once transferred.
Transfer price, 'Free Horse' price is always $1.
Once he's with me, I'll put him back up for offers only and you can at any time put your $1 offer on him. That way as soon as I'm finished with his training I can send him back to you. I won't need to freeze my account or risk over-aging him while you're offline.

I know you're still locked for admins approving your posts. Once you have 5 approved posts, you'll be unlocked.Carbon wrote:If you could train my grinder I would absolutely love you! Haha. What do you charge?
I haven't yet seen any posts since the one I quoted, so... I have a grinder ready for you to pick up if this is easier. He's already fully trained and may even provide some player-made competition income as well. The information is in his notes. If you're interested in having him as your primary grinder instead, just put in your offer of $1 and I'll send him right over to you as soon as I see it.
It's entirely your choice.

Sorry for the Delay! Here he is. http://www.horseworldonline.net/horse/profile/1629523
If its easier for you, I can take that one you've already trained. Whatever is easiest.

Re: Help With Training Horses
Doesn't matter. I'll train up your stud He's All That for free. Don't forget to drop in at some point and apply the $1 pickup so as soon as I'm done I can send him back without further aging. I don't expect it to take me long at all.Carbon wrote:Sorry for the Delay! Here he is. http://www.horseworldonline.net/horse/profile/1629523

And actually, if you want Sugar, I'll give you a discount on his sale price at 8000. This way you'll have two. It would be perfect if you send Sugar to your back-up account, or you can use him as a sale horse and post him for 20,000 OBO. Don't accept less than 15 for him, his training is worth that much at least, post him in the sale ads forum to increase his likelihood of quick sale. His future is for you to decide. You could even stud him out, he has some decent competition scores if you want to use him that was as well.

If you can't afford 8000 for him, send what you can.
