Posting link to horse with recent photo in forum..

I can't figure out how to do it. I feel silly, it's probably really simple, but I've tried the [horse=][/horse] thing with both the horse's ID number and a link to the horse and neither work. Help?

the horse's number goes between the = and the ] like this [ horse = 343434 ][ / horse ] except you have to remove the spaces
