What is the difference between a barn and pasture

What is the difference between a barn and pasture

Is there a benefit in keeping a horse in a barn? Does it help with horses who have trouble keeping on weight or gaining weight? Does it improve their performance in events if they are kept in a barn a few days before?

Or is it just for looks?

    • At the moment there isnt difference, but in future barns will provide more options for feeding etc. - feeding update isnt out yet.
