Entering a competition more than once...?
I've noticed quite a few people who are able to enter a few of their own horses in one competition. I always get an error message when I try this. Is this a skill you can learn at a higher level?

Re: Entering a competition more than once...?
You're probably trying to enter multiple horses into a type of competition that only allows one entry. If it's the sort of competition judged all at once, you can only enter one horse (racing, for example).

- Yes. You have to do Trainer courses from Training to get +1 to ticket crafting per level.

No, you don't.SeinaMacabre wrote:Macabre wrote:I've noticed quite a few people who are able to enter a few of their own horses in one competition. I always get an error message when I try this. Is this a skill you can learn at a higher level?

- ? What do you mean. I couldnt enter more horses into any discipline until I got this course higher...

Re: Entering a competition more than once...?
You are mistaken. Ticket crafting has nothing to do with entering shows. Some shows you can enter all of your horses, other shows you can only enter one horse.

Re: Entering a competition more than once...?
Ticket crafting is for creating training tickets, which isn't yet a feature. My TC skill has been at 0 and still is, and I've entered as many as 70+ horses in one show.

What is the point of entering that many horses into a show? Once you get over z0 entrants the risk of losing money versus the reward of winning money is too great. I find it is very hard to get money in this game and when I do get it I need to spend it pretty much right away. I haven't got access to a laptop at the moment which means training doesn't work very well for me so I have been stuck on the same game day for most of the week. This has given me the opportunity to test the competition system ( it's pretty much all I can do at the moment) and I am losing money hand over fist, and yes I'm only entering my horses into shows they should be good at.

Entering competitions consume money and earn you points.
Local shows consume time and earn you money and pony tokens.
Hosting competitions earn you money and doesn't consume time.
Breeding consumes time and money, but also has the potential to earn you money. And you get horses out of the deal.

Re: Entering a competition more than once...?
I have plenty of money to waste at this point, and I usually end up competing entirely against myself, so no money lost regardless. I bulk enter horses to evaluate breeding prospects; anything that scores poorly gets deleted, and I keep the highest scoring horses to use in my breeding program. I don't have much use for showing beyond that.*Corvus* wrote:What is the point of entering that many horses into a show?
