Brown Dun?

I don't know why, but I have the hardest time correctly identifying brown when it isn't on a regular, undiluted horse.

I'm guessing he's brown dun? Is this right? ...Also, doesn't he have just the best white mane marking ever?

Ooo okay. If I'm getting this right, if it doesn't have distinctly warmer brown in its armpit and flank(?), it's a bay dun, and looking at the brown on the face would just be completely misleading.

For example, these two are bay duns and not brown?
