Is/if so when can we change our horses mane and tail? Like cut it shorter or plat it.

I think it will come in time with the game, something that has already been discussed to be added in the game. In example been Akhal-Tekes, i rather seem them with closely shaven mane as it is seen today but when bought you see them in both styles, with longer and or shorter mane.Same idea you would see in Andalusians, Lipizzaner's and so forth those breed could have plat it manes and tail. You got to give the game time, many more things are yet to be added, one thing at a time tho

Thank you, as breeds like Fjord's have a very well known mane but without care it often goes flat. Also if competition were opened for the horses looks and people judged it, it would be a nice feature to go with it.

Agreed!! those features go in hand with each other when comes to horses over all looks. The horse showing is feature in progress where judge evaluates your horses over all looks and body, it just has not yet been implemented but is in the works

That is a great idea. It would be a good way to express the horse and make them look unique. Like cropping the manes, which can be done on show horses. Braiding the manes and tails would be an awesome addition as well
