Until registries are in place the Breeding Communities forum will be for players to work together towards creating or improving their favourite breeds.
Forum rules
Each breed may have only one topic. The first post in the topic is to be informative. It should help explain the breed, and breeding goals; advice on how to select mares and stallions; and links to ideal Stallions available for breeding.
Keeping a directory of breeders working on the same goal is also helpful.
All new threads must be approved.

Ok. Let me know if you have something to sell and I'll do the same.

I have my first QH and it's kind of disappointing because it's ugly (its head is really over-sized for its body). I think the appearance of QHs needs to be changed a little.

    • Its only foal. You cant really compare it to adult horse. My 1st gen QHs very really beautiful, but I have been crosbreeding them for a while with Andalusians, NABs (only because of stats) and TBs.

This was my 1st gen QH stallion:

Compared to by crossbred Part QH x Andalusian mare:

Anywho you only get a horse based on its parents traits. For example - QHs dont really have long ears, feathers,... but if its parent would have both these traits you would have a big chance of getting that too even though its not QH standard. Only thing required for making a new breed are things from breed evaluation. General look of QH isnt programmed in game. I hope I am making sense here C:

I guess it's just a proportional thing. The legs seem too short.

    • I am doing working line - focused on cutting and secondary reining and working ranch. "Shorter" legs are a plus and from my experience and competitions results they have better results C: QHs with heavier influence from TBs have definitely more horse-type to them, but their builds wouldnt be suitable for disciplines I am going for. 4* QH should by Pony Type - meaning shorter legs.

    • I made a gif of my QH progress. The one with the halter is my first QH stallion I bought from dont panic.
Roughly 40 generations of breeding. I used TB and Andalusian lines. Unfortunately I am not happy with their heads right now, so I am planning to breed some of my mares with Dollars Golden Bar (only trained one) or his sons and see how that will work out.
