Ideas for future updates

Like a lot of people on this forum, they hate this update(where stallions would lose energy from being bred). I did hate it at first, it got annoying when you have to go breed a java because the studs are either horrible or out of energy. But, I can also see why you did this update.
It might be to make the game realistic ( like 5 people stated ) or you wanted the stud factories to be toned down.
People could leave for a long time and still have money rolling in from their studs.

I really would like there to be geldings, to stop the spread of gene pool ( Geidim O'in stated that). People want to give out trained horses, but then people would breed them and all that person's work would be for nothing. Also for having a gelding, it could do better in competitions. So then people would have to choose either to geld the stallion or to have the stallion breed able.

I know that my idea that i just had would make maybe over 2/3 of the community hate it, but maybe if you want it realistic. This is what the update would have:
- miss carries
- twins ( rare chance that they dont die )
- some foals to have lavender foal syndrome ( where they cants stand after birth and die. they get the lavender foal syndrome because the foal becomes purple or lavender. It happens in some Arabians lines, which would kill a lot of the Arabians )
- For the breeding to fail ( as in.... nvm... i dont wanna get ban from forums ) Which would do horrible with the stallions losing energy when bred.
- and a lot of more syndromes
- Then for horses to die in competitions from injury or poor equipment

Another idea is that there could be special tack that would increase the horse's chance in a competition, but they are hard to find together. They would appear in the normal areas for tack, but there would be limited supply.

Tom you can totally just skip this whole reply if you want, but please take off the 'stallions losing energy from being bred'

Thank you for everyone who read this, I am proud that you read my whole post.

I totally agree with you, but it will take a long time for the creators to actually add these things to the game and miss carries, lavender syndrome, breeding fails, injuries etc will * off many players...
Maybe if they make them very unlikely to happen we will accept the update more easely.
One thing that I and may other breeders would like to be added NOW is GELDING I want to sell high quality horses and help other breeders with their projects, but I cannot sell a fertile competition horse, because it has very high stats! Of course I have the choise not to sell any of my horses, but what is the purpose of this game then?
What about the studs and the energy loss? It's so annoying... If it's realistic losing energy, then why when the horse competes it never loses it? What about the unlimited competitins? The top horses have more than 5000 starts!
I hope you'll do something within the end of 2018....

I'm just go throw my two cents in here on some random things I've seen tossed about as ideas. I try really hard to keep in mind all the back end stuff that goes into changes, updates and new features.

I'm fine with horses losing energy for breeding AND competing. I also think the losing energy for competing could be a follow-up to the breeding energy loss. If I were a developer, I would implement one or the other (probably the easiest to code) to make sure there were no bugs. No horse can breed or show in an unlimited capacity IRL. It could lead to injuries or worse.

I believe it has been stated that Frozen Semen might be available in the future. I'm even fine with collecting semen taking energy.

I am not into tack providing bonuses. It reminds me of performance enhancing drugs. I AM fine with points being deducted for incorrect or no tack. One wouldn't show horse in Dressage with a western saddle. (I don't think. I know Western shows have requirements for tack and clothing of the handler.) Of course this would mean making sure we had appropriate tack for each event, which would require more art and coding and probably other things I'm not thinking about. As it is, I don't buy tack at all, as I'm still trying expand and maintain my farm, learn skills and stuff. If I HAD to buy tack, I could afford it and it might make showing a more than "just enter everything" prospect. This also goes to energy use for competitions. If I can enter only 1-3 (or some other random number) shows I'm going to look at them more closely. If all my horses need tack, I may stop showing lesser horses sooner.

Overall, this is my favorite breeding game. I love all the crossbreeding options. I don't mind the learning curve. I love how conformation works with the breeders reports. I really love that I control when my horses age. As someone who travels a lot it's nice knowing my stock isn't dying off. There's not really a lot of things I can think of that would really improve it. I mean injuries and other things would be cool but at the same time the coding of such things can be nightmare, besides the fact that too much realism can make the game less enjoyable for new or more casual players. I LOVE realism. Some want a less, because it's just a game and they can relax. Finding and maintaining the "middle ground" that keeps the most users happy is a real tightrope to walk.

You want "realism" but you somehow don't think it is realistic that stallions cannot breed infinite mares a day?
